Free Classical Guitar Concert

Free Summer Concert in the Garden

Join St. Francis Xavier Parish for their first Concert in the Garden from 7:30 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, August 27th, featuring classical acoustic guitarist David Galvez.











Enjoy a
relaxing evening of music with neighbors and fellow parishioners,
surrounded by flowers in full summer bloom.  Homemade cookies and
lemonade will be available.  Bring your own blanket or lawn chair.




The garden gate entrance is located between the rectory and church, at 225 6th Avenue, between President and Carroll Streets in Park Slope.


A native of Lima, Peru, David Galvez
has performed solo and chamber recitals throughout the U.S. and South
America, including as guest soloist with the Manhattan Philharmonic
Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra. He's won top prizes in
competitions such as the prestigious Edwin & Leigh Concerto
Competition in New York City and has recorded with tenor Juan Diego
Florez and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. He teaches guitar at the
Long Island Conservatory and the Queens School of Music.
