Women's Lifting Workshop 2

After much success with our first Women’s Lifting Workshop, we’ve decided to offer a second. With helpful feedback from the women who participated in the first workshop, the upcoming workshop will be held three days a week for seven weeks!

During this seven week workshop you will learn and practice barbell weightlifting in a supportive and empowering semi-private training environment. You will work directly with a coach on perfecting your form, increasing your strength, and becoming completely comfortable under the barbell and in the gym. Expect to have fun, make friends, and gain strength throughout the course of the Women’s Lifting Workshop!

In the first week of of the workshop, you will learn to: Squat, Press, Dead lift, Bench Press, and Power Clean. Over the next six weeks, you will go through a linear progression on each of the five lifts. During the linear progression you will slowly increase the weights that you are lifting  and you will become incrementally stronger as the class moves forward. Throughout the course of the workshop you will participate in short lectures regarding nutrition, sleep, recovery, and the ability to develop mental toughness and discipline that will help you get stronger and achieve your goals. We will cover many other topics and happily answer any questions that arise during the course of the workshop. At the end of the workshop we will hold aPowerlifting Total, where each woman can test their 1 rep max on the squat, bench press, and dead lift.
