Barking Cat Studio’s new after-school arts immersion program provides students the opportunity to develop their artistic abilities while exploring a variety of visual art disciplines, technique and medium.

We will devote three weeks to each discipline to allow students time to absorb, create and discover during each weekly 90-minute class. At the start of each class, students will engage in a drawing lesson and exercise before beginning the weeks project.

Throughout this workshop children will be introduced to the following art disciplines:

• Drawing, Painting & Printmaking (Dec. 13 – Jan. 10)

• Sculpture & 3D Exploration (Jan. 17 – Jan. 31)

• Character Development, Cartooning, Comic Books (Feb. 7 – Feb 28)

• Puppets! Puppets! Puppets! (Mar. 7 – Mar. 21)

Age exceptions are made for talented, focused students able to work independently. Sorry no drop-ins or make-ups for this workshop. Class cards are available.

Drop-Ins permitted on the first day of each workshop discipline: December 13, January 10, February 7 & March 7. School pick-up available, call the studio for details and more info. Class cards only available for consecutive classes within each workshop discipline only.

Please note there will be no class on the following dates: Dec. 24 - Jan 1.

Being that it is an election year, if you and other registered voters scream loudly enough, someoneRead More will hear you. This sounds like a job for the 7 On Your Side, or NY1 who may be able to reach NYCDOT and Higher Ranking officials at the 78th PCT to respond to your complaint and do something.
