Brooklyn Music Shop Presents: Kate Klim/Joe Dureas
I met Kate Klim at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival while I was helping to manage the Emerging Artist Showcase. We chatted and I was immediately charmed. Then I herd her perform and I was stunned. The Beauty and Clarity of her voice paired with her considerable skill at the piano were simply amazing! The emotional range of her writing drew me in and I was in love! I bought her Kamikaze Love CD and have practically worn it out. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to share her music with you. I am certain that she will win your hearts too. I met Joe Dureas at the Brooklyn Music Shop Christmas Concert at Littlefield. My wife said that Joe had asked to meet me and I introduced myself to him as the show ended. He was really nice and very sincere when he said he wanted to do a show for us. Taking the CD he offered, I really didn't give it much thought. Then I listened to the CD! Immediately reminiscent of 80's New Wave with a folk sensibility, I was intrigued. His Ebb and Flow CD is aptly named, with gentle folky songs as well as real rockers. No doubt he will be a hit with the Brooklyn Music Shop crowd! You can listen to his music at: http://joeduraes.com/
