Anti-Bullying Talk at the Berkeley Carroll School

Most parents and educators would say they know bullying behavior when they see it: cyber bullying, teasing in or out of school, name calling, being picked on, and the like. And much has been written about it. We've all read or heard about countless instances where bullying in school has led to hurt feelings or far, far more dire consequences. Yet it turns out that conventional wisdom may be misguided. According to educator Susan Eva Porter, PhD, author of an important new book on the subject, Bully Nation, "America's approach to childhood aggression is bad for everyone."

Berkeley Carroll is pleased to share with you that the author of Bully Nation, Susan Eva Porter, PhD, will be speaking at Berkeley Carroll on November 18 at 7:30 pm. The philosophy she outlines in her book to approaching, dealing with, and countermanding bullying behavior in children is revolutionary and very, very smart. Please plan to join us on November 18 at 181 Lincoln Place when Dr. Porter discusses her anti-bullying approach with the Berkeley Carroll community.

Let's work together to help the children at risk take back their childhood.
