Weekend Rails

Here's your weekly dose of weekend subway service changes.

This weekend could be the wackiest weekend on the local rails. Thursday evening, Mayor Bloomberg announced that if Hurricane Irene hits New York City and winds reach above 39 miles per hour, the entire city will experience a total shut down of MTA service. If landfall is expected there will be an evacuation 10 to 12 hours in advance. Check back on this site for more details.

But for now, here’s the scoop on everything you’re looking at on the local subways this weekend:

  • F and G trains will not stop at Smith-Ninth Street because that station is closed for rehabilitation.
