Ring In National Night Out With Fifth Avenue Parade

The NYPD's 78th Precinct Community Council in Park Slope will host a parade Tuesday evening in celebration of National Night Out, a nationwide crime prevention event.

Police officers and community members will meet starting a 6 p.m. at Fifth Avenue and Sterling Place to "send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back," according to the event's website.

From there, the group will parade down the avenue to Grand Army Plaza to continue the festivities until 8 p.m.
