Police Blotter: Wife Arrested for Beating Husband Unconscious with Remote Control

Domestic Violence  

Police arrested a 26-year-old woman for knocking her husband unconscious after striking him on the head with a remote control in their Carroll Street apartment on April 10.  

The 33-year-old victim told police that he and his wife were in a heated argument in their home, between Fourth and Fifth avenues, when she became violent. At around 10 a.m., the 26-year-old wife-turned-attacker struck her husband in the head with a remote control repeatedly, scratched him across his arms and kicked him in the groin until he lost consciousness momentarily. The husband told police that he will prosecute and the woman was arrested. 

Burglar Steals Three Laptops, iPad and Camera  

A burglar stole almost $9,000 in electronics and jewelry from a President Street apartment on April 10.  

The 29-year-old victim told police that he left his apartment, between Fourth and Fifth avenues, at around 11:30 a.m. and returned at around 2:30 p.m. When he returned home he found that his front door deadbolt lock was damaged and his apartment was ransacked. The burglar stole three MacBook Pro Apple laptops, an iPad 2, a Cannon camera, two lenses, and jewelry for a total of $8,566. Police spoke with the victim’s neighbors and they all said that they did not hear or see anything suspicious. The victim told cops that the only person in the building who saw him leave was the superintendent.
