Transportation

There are no service advisories on the F, G, M or R lines. The 2, 3, 4 and Q trains are also running as usual. Buses are running on a normal schedule.

Alternate Side Parking and Meters

Alternate Side Parking regulations are suspended and parking meters do not have to be paid. No stopping, no standing and no parking regulations are suspended except where those regulations are in effect at any time or seven days a week.

Schools

Schools are closed through Friday, Dec. 31.

Garbage and Recycling

Garbage and recycling pick-up is on schedule.

Mail

There is mail delivery and post offices are open.

Government and City Offices

Government offices are closed, excepting the Department of Motor Vehicles. Courts are closed.

Saturday, Dec. 25

There is no garbage or recycling pick-up. If Saturday is your regular garbage or recycling collection day, put your garbage or recycling out after 4 pm the evening of Sunday, Dec. 26.

There is no mail delivery and post offices are closed except for the self-service kiosks at the New York City main branch on 32nd Street and Eighth Avenue in Manhattan.

Libraries

All branches of the New York library systems are closed. 

Government and City Offices

All government offices and courts are closed.
