Christie’s: Best Patties in Brooklyn?

Christie's Jamaican Patties serves up a filling meal you can fit in one hand.

Christie's Jamaican Patties on Flatbush got a shout out from the Daily News this weekend, who named it amongst two other Jamaican patty restaurants as New York’s best. Christie’s was the only restaurant in Brooklyn to be named. According to the review, their “massive patty,” whose crust is “thicker and flakier than most” is worth the $2.50 price.

Christie’s has been serving up their Caribbean empanadas for 45 years, and the restaurant was jammed with “construction workers, police officers and nannies” when the Daily News paid them a visit, noting that this was a place where napkins are definitely needed.

It's located at 387 Flatbush Ave. between Sterling and St. Johns place.
