Brooklyn still loves a good parade.
That was at least one reason why scores of LGBT people and their allies lined Fifth Avenue in Park Slope for the 15th Annual Brooklyn Pride Night Parade on Saturday.
And while there was more than a hint of the poltical at the parade—this being the first Gay Pride march in the borough —Saturday's event still kept its traditional celebratory atmosphere.
"LGBT spells Brooklyn," yelled Borough President Marty Markowitz to the crowd while riding atop his own rainbow flag-bedecked float.
