5 Things: Paul Auster Book Signing and Last Chance on Miyazaki Film Fest

Plus pay-what-you-wish yoga, a singer songwriter showcase,

1. Catch a cartoon. Today is your last chance to catch the Miyazaki film series at Brooklyn Academy of Music. The Oscar-winning Japanese animator has produced such greats as My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away on the big screen.

2. Mosey over to some music. If you're looking to hear some tunes, there's  Nico Soffiato's "O.S.T. Quartet" + "Kaplan/Merega/Moffett Trio" tonight at LaunchPad and Urban Achievers a Singer Songwriter Showcase @ Branded Saloon.

3. Meet an author. One of Brooklyn's most famous novelists will be signing copies of his new book at  Signing: Here & Now: Letters by Paul Auster from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Park Slope at Powerhouse on 8th.

4. Hit the mat. You've been meaning to get to a yoga class but don't have $15-$20 to spare. But today there's Pay What you Wish Outdoor Yoga in Fort Greene Park at noon.

5. Move the car. Alternate side will be in effect tomorrow (and every day until Orthodox Holy Thursday on May 2). So grab a safe spot today if you can.
