The Department of Transportation will begin work on a strip of Fourth Avenue in Park Slope on Aug, 19, according to a flier sent out by the DOT, Brownstoner reported.
Changes to the avenue include the elimination of six left turns, the installation of speed bumps and painted curb extensions, and wider pedestrian medians.
Community Board 6 approved the DOT's plans for construction along the avenue at a special meeting last month.
