Someone Call a Lawyer!

"Lawyers Gone Wild" never made it past the TV Pilot stage, so I've decided to blog instead.

Good citizens of Park Slope, let me introduce myself.  My name is Daniel Gershburg and I am a Real Estate and Bankruptcy lawyer (pronounced “lawwwyahhh”).  Patch.com graciously gave me the opportunity to blog on this site because I’ve been involved in many real estate transactions in the Park Slope area (mainly new constructions…I know, I know, well get to that.)  I’ve also represented many many people in filing for personal Bankruptcy (in no small measure to some Real Estate deals gone bad).  In any case, this blog, ideally, will be a go to for you to get some general information when purchasing or selling property in the area.

It'll cover such features as:

Contracts of Sale

New Construction Issues in particular buildings in Park Slope

What to look for in, you guessed it, a lawyer.

Co-ops and getting into them.

FHA Loans (Super popular these days but have tons of drawbacks)

What I really would love to do, apart from disseminating amazing advice and have people comment on my pocketsquares, is to give a practical account of buying or selling properties in Park Slope.  The ins and outs and things to look out for.  I also hope you don't fall asleep.

Lastly, I want to hear from you.  And I mean that sincerely. I've run my blog on my own website (www.danielgershburg.com) by answering questions that typical clients ask.  So if you want me to answer something, or cover something, I'd be more than happy to do it.

Here comes the legal part:

This Blog/Web Site is made available by the lawyer or law firm publisher for educational purposes only as well as to give you general information and a general understanding of the law, not to provide specific legal advice. By using this blog site you understand that there is no attorney client relationship between you and the Blog/Web Site publisher. The Blog/Web Site should not be used as a substitute for competent legal advice from a licensed professional attorney in your state.
