What Should Fill the Empty Space That Used to be Fashion East

Would another clothing store add to the corner of Lincoln and Seventh Avenue? What about a restaurant?

Fashion East, a small clothing store just off Seventh Avenue on Lincoln Place, and the space is still for rent.

is one door down on Seventh Avenue and Clear Boutique and Paper Love are on the other side of the vacant store front.

What kind of establishment would add to Lincoln Place and Seventh Avenue the greatest?

Tell us in the comments below what you would like to see call the vacant store front home.

Also, make sure to vote in the poll below!

This is one of the three storefronts which belonged to the landlord Warren (don't know his last name), who died last year. I am wondering whether his estate is in probate, which is why nothing has been done with that storefront, as well as the one next to it.

I am sorry all this stores are closing - tell the landlords to get real and lower rents.

Peter - maybe you should shop more and agree to pay more for the things you buy. If we are asking landlords to get paid less we should all kick in something too.

Jim I like shopping in the slope but everyone is hurting - it seems that landlords of commercial stores forget they should have an interest in keeping the neighborhood vibrant and alive. What I am saying is stores that stay empty for a while because the landlords want a higher rent or a certain type of tenant help to kill other stores near and around them. This should be outlawed. It hurts the neighborhood more than helps. What helps is having all the stores rented so others can walk though the ave - that is what will help people to send money. Who wants to walk though areas that show no merchants or few merchants on the streets - anywhere in this city a landlord that owes a store front should show or have responsibility to the area of which they own property in.

Being that it is an election year, if you and other registered voters scream loudly enough, someoneRead More will hear you. This sounds like a job for the 7 On Your Side, or NY1 who may be able to reach NYCDOT and Higher Ranking officials at the 78th PCT to respond to your complaint and do something.
