Park Slope Restaurant Bites

Here's a round-up of the new restaurant openings your tastebuds have to look forward to.

Good news for foodies! A lot of updates and rumors are swirling about Park Slope’s dining scene, and here’s a round-up of a few news bits we came across recently:

- BBQ and cocktail joint Reno Provisions will be coming to 669 Union St. (former home of Mama Rosa Latin Bistro) “within a couple weeks,” reports Here’s Park Slope. Owners Anthony Laudato, Jacques Gautier (of Palo Santo) and Lia Forman will bring “meats, cocktails and assorted sundries” to the neighborhood. The blog says that Reno will be the first “full-fledged barbecue restaurant” since Lookout Hill closed in 2008.

- An outpost of Terroir wine bar (of East Village and TriBeCa fame) may be coming to Park Slope, in the recently vacated Great Lakes space (284 5th Ave.), according to a FIPS tipster. Sure, it’s still a rumor at this point, but many commenters said they’ve heard the same. Chef Marco Canora’s TriBeCa menu at Terroir boasts quirky upscale offerings like “Funky Beef Balls” and whipped lardo bruscetta.
