Brooklyn Colony Sports Bar Opens in Park Slope

Sports bar and cocktail lounge opens at bottom of Garfield Place.

Giving a nod to the classic sports bars while featuring live entertainment and drink specials weekly, Brooklyn Colony is the latest bar to open on 4th Avenue in Park Slope at the bottom of Garfield Place.

The bar features traditional sports bar amenities like the pool table, dart board and shuffleboard table with multiple big-screen HDTV's. They also have weekly entertainment, including a regular Friday and Saturday night DJ residency.

“We want people to be comfortable here,” managing partner Shamus King said in a release. “We want sports on during the games, but when the games are finished, there’s plenty more for people to enjoy."

Daily Happy Hour lasts from 3- 7 p.m. with $3 bottles and drafts, $4 wine and well drinks with appetizer specials to round things out. Teachers also enjoy an extra hour of specials until 8 p.m.

There are currently eight beers on tap including Six Point, Dogfish, Sam Adams and Allagash, but draft selections will increase to 22 soon with the additions of Guinness, Pilsner Urquell, Green Flash and more.
