Mexican Restaurant Replaces Loli's Taqueria on Sixth Avenue

The new restaurant is the latest in a string of closed eateries.

The Mexican restaurant Haab opened its third outpost on Sixth Avenue this weekend, replacing another Mexican restaurant that was only open for about two months.

Modestly decorated with black and white photos and colorful walls, Haab (located at 396 Sixth Ave.) offers a mouth-watering brunch menu as well as the staples of a good Mexican restaurant – tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas and more.

The brunch menu includes haab eggs (11.95), poached eggs on a toasted English muffin with avocado and roasted tomato with chipotle hollandaise, eggs Florentine ($11.95), poached eggs on a toasted English muffin with chipotle hollandaise and roasted potatoes, and eggs benedict ($11.95).

As for lunch or dinner, Haab offers 13 appetizers including tuna tartare ($9.95) and tostadas ($6.95) as well as 14 varieties of tacos such as lamb, duck, shrimp and more, all of which are in the $3.25 to $4.95 range.

Customers can also go for one of nine burrito choices, which go up to $10.95.

Haab is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 12 a.m., Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday.
