Loli’s Taqueria Opens Friday on Sixth Avenue!

The brother restaurant duo will open their second eatery in Park Slope, which focused on 'Mexican street tacos' and sangria.

Bienvenidos a Park Slope, Loli’s Taquera!

The brother restaurateur duo who owns Casa Ventura on Seventh Avenue will open their new venture, Loli’s Taqueria on Sixth Avenue on Friday, April 26.

Jose Ventura, the general manager, and his brother Giovanni, who is the executive chef, put the finishing touches on their new space this week, which used to be Lucky 7.

The new restaurant, Loli’s Taqueria, got it’s name from Jose’s son—who calls his little sister Lola “Loli.”

Loli’s will serve “modern-style taqueria cuisine, specializing in combining local products with authentic Mexican flavors and new techniques of cooking,” Jose said. “The menu will be steeped in a simple, yet elegant cuisine that will feature local, sustainable and seasonal ingredients.”

Jose said they will specialize in $3 tacos, as Giovanni will make two different categories of tacos: The first kind of taco will be their “Mexican street style tacos,” including Cochinita Pibil with banana leaf, baked Berkshire pork, and sour orange marinade; Lengua with braised beef tongue, and green pico de gallo.

While the other kind will be called “Loli's Taqueria Style Tacos,” including the Betabel Organico, which is made with organic roasted beets, queso fresco, and orange segments and the Shrimp taco with salsa verde, avocado, and mango.

“We are thrilled to be opening our first Loli's Taqueria in Park Slope and we are very much looking forward to serving our new guests,” said Jose.

The bar will serve beer, wine and 11 different types of sangria made with organic wine and fruit. They will close at 10 p.m. every night and have a focus on family and kids.

Stop by Loli's Taqueria tomorrow, Friday, April 26 at
396 6th Ave, Brooklyn on the corner of Seventh Street.
