Jackie's Fifth Amendment Closes; Patrick Stewart Says Goodbye
Longtime Park Slope dive bar shuts doors for good.
The long life and extended fall of Jackie's 5th Amendment is over.
The dive bar closed its doors for good earlier this month. The bar was sold off to Slope Drugs & Surgical Supply next door earlier this August, but remained opened for a few final drinks through the fall.
Park Slope's 'cult' classic was a favorite bar for many locals with a long history at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Seventh Street. One of those fans is apparently local celeb Patrick Stewart.
The Park Slope resident tweeted out a picture of the bar with a farewell message saying, "It finally happened. Goodbye Jackie's." on his Twitter account @SirPatStew.
