The Park Slope Chamber of Commerce is hosting its fifth annual Snowflake Festival, which celebrates the holiday season with discounts at local businesses on Seventh Avenue on Thursday.

Santa will make an appearance at (360 Seventh Avenue) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. They are offering a buy-one-get-one-half-off sale on select merchandise. They will also be offering wine, champagne and cookies.

(202 Seventh Avenue) is also participating in the festival. If you purchase one regular priced pair of shoes you receive 10 percent off the purchase. If you buy two regular priced pairs, receive 20 percent off, and if you buy three regular priced pairs, receive 30 percent off.

The owner, Eric Mudick, said he was happy to participate in the fifth annual Snowflake Festival.

“It is better this year than last year, I think a lot of stores honored it,” said Mudick.   “It’s a community-smart program to be involved in. ”

(232 Seventh Avenue) will serve wine and treats and also offer 10 percent off all holiday wrap and holiday cards. They are also hosting Park Slope resident, Yona Zeldis McDonough, to sign copies of her new children’s book, The Cats in the Doll Shop.

(151 Seventh Avenue) is offering a 15 percent off all merchandise sale 6 and 8 p.m. tonight.

If you are hungry stop by (787 Union Street) and eat dinner and receive a bonus gift certificate for you or someone else to use between January 2 and March 18. If you spend $50 or more you’ll recieve a gift certificate for $25. If you spend $100 they’ll give you one for $50. And if you spend $300 you’ll get one for $150.
