The Brooklyn Beefsteak: Endless Pitchers of Beer, Mountains of Steak, and More

If we believe in anything, it is tradition. The BEEFSTEAK is back! Calling on all newcomers and old-timers to raise their glasses and greasy paws at this eternal celebration!

Endless pitchers of New York's oldest ale on every table, heaping mountains of juicy steak cuts, and absolutely no utensils. All washed down to the toe-tapping rhythms of Brooklyn's favorite hillbilly boogie band, Susquehanna Industrial Tool & Die Company (SIT&DIE). This is a celebration of America's favorite libation and our carnivorous inclinations. Boisterous crowds committed to communal bread-stacking are not only welcome, but encouraged at this springtime affair.

Tammany Hall politicians invented the all-you-can-eat-and-drink beef and beer feast, or beefsteak, to win over the hearts and minds of New York's voters. Up until the mid 1930s these revelrous feasts were popular among New York's working class, but later lost favor, surviving only as union hall fundraisers in backwaters of New Jersey.

Now, after 100 years in exile the beefsteak has made it's triumphant return to New York's most bustling outer borough. Come one, come all, to partake once again in the raucous atmosphere of the New York docks and saloons of years past.
