Chocolate Room Gets Ready For Move, Needs Community Support

The Chocolate Room has been a Park Slope staple on 5th Avenue for the better part of a decade. Due to increased rent at its location just near the Barclays Center, the shop has been forced to move.

Fortunately, things fell into place and owners Naomi Josepher and Jon Payson are getting ready to move into their new location just a few blocks away at 51 5th Avenue.

While they may be going just down the street, the move comes with its expenses. The Chocolate Room is now reaching out to the community for support in funding their move with a campaign on Kickstarter.

Backers, of course, will be handsomely rewarded with chocolatey goods. Rewards range from a Chocolate Chunk Cookie for $5 backers to private parties, classes and more.
