Video: Home Beer Brewing 101

Brooklyn Skillshare, a free, community-led organization, held its first class on homebrewing at Brooklyn Launchpad in Prospect Heights.

Since it began a year ago, Brooklyn Skillshare has hosted free community classes on everything from worm composting to home canning.

This month, the reciprocal learning community held its first beer making class. In the two-hour workshop at on Monday, Dec. 13, participants learned about the equipment, ingrediants and processes involved in brewing beer at home.

The "mini-skills" class was taught by local amateur brewer Anthony Mohen along with co-owner of Fire Island Beer Co. Greg Glassman.
