A hand-chiseled lion's face adorns a stoop between First and Second streets.

Even though beautiful stonework is everywhere, sometimes certain buildings make you stop.

This limestone lion adorns a home on Eighth Avenue, between First and Second Streets.

To my knowledge, there are only three stoops in the Slope that have thees lions: 2 on 8th Avenue between 1st and 2nd Streets, and 1 on 6th Street between 8th Avenue and Prospect Park West
