Sometimes we cannot decide where ivy grows. And later, we cannot decide how far its trunk grows.
This building off Eighth Avenue was wrapped with aerial roots and speckled with green leaves. It makes for a beautiful sight, but also a reminder that sometimes nature just has to take its course.
