Photo of the Day: Greenwood Park's Bocce Court

The huge beer garden on Seventh Avenue has plenty of courts to play the Italian ball sport.

If you have ever waited in line to get on a bocce court in a bar, you've probably waited pretty long.

But if you go to Greenwood Park, on Seventh Avenue at 19th Street, you will most likely not wait at all.

The huge beer hall (just don't call it a "beer garden" if you see owner Ted Mann) has four courts for the leisurely Italian ball game. And this past Saturday, thanks to the cold and threatening-to-be-wet weather, there was no one on the courts, and we had it all to our selves.

Today, upload photos of your favorite neighborhood bocce court (hint: there's a great one at Union Hall) to this article, our Facebook page or e-mail them to Will.Yakowicz@Patch.com.

Being that it is an election year, if you and other registered voters scream loudly enough, someoneRead More will hear you. This sounds like a job for the 7 On Your Side, or NY1 who may be able to reach NYCDOT and Higher Ranking officials at the 78th PCT to respond to your complaint and do something.
