No Parking on 8th Ave. Wednesday Night for Filming of TV Series ‘Golden Boy’

TV crews will be on Eighth Ave, between Sixth St. and Montgomery Pl., from Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 10 p.m. through Thursday, Oct. 11 at 11 p.m.

 

Move over, Park Slope drivers, Hollywood will be taking your parking spot on Eighth Ave. tonight and through tomorrow.

Another film crew will be setting up shop in Park Slope, starting Wed., Oct. 10 at 10 p.m. through Thursday, Oct. 11 at 11 p.m.

There will be no parking on Eighth Ave., between Montgomery Place and Sixth Street during the shoot. If you leave your car within the designated set area, your car will be towed.

The crew will be shooting a few scenes for the new TV series, entitled Golden Boy, which will air on CBS in January.

Golden Boy, which will be partially directed by Richard Shepard (who has directed some episodes of Girls, 30 Rock, Ugly Betty, Criminal Minds and more) and was written by Nicholas Wootton, will star Amanda Setton, Bonnie Somerville and Theo James and many more actors.

Theo James, a British actor known for his roles in Underworld: Awakening, The Inbetweeners, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger and Downtown Abbey, plays the main character in the cop thriller, named Walter William Clark Jr.

The series follows Clark Jr., who is a young police officer who rises though the ranks from detective all the way up to police commissioner.

Odette Annable, from House, will play the Assistant District Attorney name Kat O’Connor. Her character, who prosecutes cases brought by the squad, is an attractive and young ADA who has a complicated marital past. 

Chi McBride, known for his roles in The Terminal and Gone in 60 Seconds, will also star in the series along with Holt McCallany from Flight Club, Men of Honor and Three Kings.
