New Tumblr Account Honors Patrick Stewart Moving to Park Slope

Now that the actor who is best known for playing Captain Jean Luc Picard in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" , it’s only polite to give him a proper neighborhood welcoming.

A proper welcoming can come in many forms — a Jell-O mold, a party, maybe even a cake from — but for Park Slopers, the best welcome-to-the-neighborhood gesture comes in the form of a Tumblr page entirely devoted to said celebrity.

Remember the account entitled, “” Before the blogger — after Buscemi’s son sent a cease-and-desist letter — the Tumblr account was dedicated to chronicling the refuse left on the star’s stoop for two years.  

Now, as FIPS reported, someone has created a Tumblr account dedicated to Captain Picard, entitled: Park Slope Patrick Stewart.

The blog is collection of Patrick Stewart memes that hit on Park Slope cultural references like bike lanes, babies in bars, the Park Slope Food Co-op, the G train, Kombucha and Prospect Park.

One of the more hilarious memes is a picture of Stewart drinking while the sentence “I don’t know how I feel about babies in bars” runs across the photo. Underneath the caption reads, “As long as they don’t interrupt my drinking.”
