Head up to the fifth floor of the Brooklyn Museum and be surrounded by more than thirty dazzling large-scale three dimensional works in wood and metal created by Ghanaian-born artist El Anatsui, one of the most innovative figures in contemporary abstract art today.
El Anatsui's work has been exhibited around the world and is collected by major museums.
In this exhibit, the artist created the pieces using materials such as tin cans, copper wire and bottle caps which combine into forms infused with symbolic meaning.
The exhibition is on view until August 4.
