Filmwax's latest entry in its monthly series BROOKLYN RECONSTRUCTED will be a sneak preview of Su Friedrich's GUT RENOVATION. Each film in the series deals with the themes of gentrification and development in Brooklyn. Within those themes is a conversation about race and class in a city undergoing a startling transformation.

Looking to give some holiday cheer to the less fortunate? Second Chance Toys Holiday Toy Drive is a charitable organization that collects gently used plastic toys, then cleans and redistributes them to children in need.

 The organization is holding a toy drive for gently used plastic toys on December 14 to 17th. Come to 808 Union Street and drop off some toys.
