Straight out of Kafou Haiti, Bennchoumy is an artist in rare form on any given occasion. He's promoted Kreyol Hip-Hop on the world's stage, winning titles in freestyle battles despite what some would purport as a handicap. Bennchoumy's innate ability to perform and freestyle spurred the successful run of the first ever gospel Kreyol Hip-Hop group, The Shepherdz. Co-founder. of the NEGUSWORLD movement, which has inspired many to disassociate themselves with the negative sterotypes and profiling present in the African American community. The Manifestation or Manifestasyon sound is a fusion of Haitian rasin (roots), rock, reggae, melodic hip hop, and just that special unexplained groovy sound.

Growing up in Haiti; Bennchoumy has survived two major civil wars which explains partially "The Manifestation" band name. In Haiti, a manifestation is a march or strike from the people revolting against anything or anyone who wants to take away their rights to live. “As he rhymed his well thought-out pieces I remember thinking how it was poetry in motion. The Manifestation has a tight groove, and lyrically Bennchoumy keeps the crowd hanging on every word he recites. His stage presence is extremely mesmerizing and makes it impossible to focus on anything but the music and the rhythm.”
