How Was Your Week? With: Julie Klausner / Ted Leo & the Pharmacists / Sandra Bernhard / and others

It's always a magical occurrence when a podcast you enjoy, one day, Pinocchio-like, becomes a real, live event.

Join How Was Your Week? host Julie Klausner as she welcomes Sandra Bernhard, Tom Scharpling, a surprise guest, and rock star Ted Leo, who will be on stage the entire night to play a live, full-length version of the How Was Your Week? theme song, in addition to other music that is important for you to have in your ears.

** Please note this event will be mixed seated & standing. Please arrive early for best seat selection.

Since she first stepped on stage at the Comedy Store in the '70s, Sandra Bernhard has been challenging fans and critics with her outrageous humor, keen satire and rollicking stage shows. "Give the dame her due," writes theNew York Times, "It's invigorating to be in the presence of a true original."

Bernhard's one-woman Broadway show, I'm Still Here ... Damn It!, was hailed by the New York Times as "an angst driven, foul-mouthed poison-laced joy ride that banks and careens frenetically through the worlds of fashion, celebrity, rock, and religion. In her own voice, unfiltered, [Bernhard] is a living, breathing bonfire."

From 1991-1996, Bernhard portrayed Nancy Bartlett on "Roseanne," and she has had guest starring or recurring roles on numerous other shows, among them; "Ally McBeal", "The Larry Sanders Show", "The Sopranos", "Law & Order: SVU", "The L Word", "Will & Grace", "The New Adventures of Old Christine" and "Hot in Cleveland". She has appeared numerous times on "Late Night with David Letterman" and has been a guest on "The Tonight Show", "The View", "The Joy Behar Show", "The Jimmy Kimmel Show", "The Rachel Maddow Show" and Showtime's "The Green Room", among others.

Tom Scharpling is one half of the renowned comedy duo Scharpling & Wurster, who have been doing their thing since 1997. Tom is the host of the legendary radio program, "The Best Show on WFMU." Tom is also a writer and co-executive producer on the award winning television programMonk. He is the co-writer of the screenplay Jeff the Demon, which was bought by New Line and will hopefully be in production in 2007. But he's not counting on it - you know how that shit goes. Scharpling has also directed music videos for Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, The New Pornographers, Titus Andronicus, and The Stepkids, among others.
