BROOKLYN, N.Y. - (Aug. 22, 2012)  -- City Stomp Live, one of Brooklyn's favorite family music bands, will perform two shows weekly on Wednesdays at Dizzy's Diner, 230 Fifth Avenue at President, in Park Slope, beginning Sept. 5.  Show times are 6 and 7 p.m.

Designed to entertain adults as well as the younger set, City Stomp Live concerts showcase songs about familiar city sights such as subways, Coney Island and garbage trucks; multi-cultural tunes tinged with a rock sensibility; and rockin' versions of children's classic songs.  Shows at Dizzy's are free but dinner reservations are necessary.

Open since last spring, the Dizzy's Fifth Avenue location joins the original Dizzy's Diner at 511 9th Street at Eighth Avenue, which has been serving classic comfort food since 1998.  A familiar site to Little Leaguers and park-goers with its entrance just off Prospect Park, Dizzy's has been named Best Brunch by New York magazine and has been featured on the "Best of" series on the Food Network.

City Stomp Live is a popular Brooklyn band that performs many songs sung in the City Stomp early childhood music programs founded by Kevin MacCallum. Live performances echo the songs sung in class, which are comprised of fun, original songs about New York experiences as well as cultural music -- Latin, Caribbean, Irish -- heard around the city.
