53rd Annual Park Slope House Tour

Join us for the Park Slope Civic Council’s 2012 annual House Tour!  This year the Tour focuses on seven homes in the north section of Park Slope.  The Tour features an 1882 Neo-Grec home with an unusual feature – an internal light shaft from a skylight at the roof down to the floors below – and a roof deck with views of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.  Also on the Tour is a stunning 1889 Queen Anne home with Corinthian columns, antiques, Persian Bakhtiari and Turkish tribal rugs and a formal, terraced garden.

After completing the self-guided walking tour, sit down and enjoy “Brooklyn Lost and Found,” a narrated slide show by Francis Morrone, describing significant Brooklyn buildings that have been demolished, and new Brooklyn architecture worthy of recognition. Meet at The Montauk Club, 8th Avenue at Lincoln Place for the slide show. Seating is limited and Tour ticket required.

Tour starts at the Berkeley Carroll School, 181 Lincoln Place, between 7th and 8th Avenues.  In addition to day-of Tour tickets, House Tour brochures and shoe covers will be distributed here.
