BAM to Celebrate March on Washington Next Week
Program will feature 40 films over two weeks.
BAM will mark the 50th Anniversary of the landmark civil rights march starting next week, with 40 films running for two weeks through BAM Cinematek.
"A Time for Burning: Cinema of the Civil Rights Movement" will feature both documentaries and culture-shaping cinema of the period, including "King: A Filmed Record ... Montgomery to Memphis" and "To Kill A Mockingbird."
The film series will start on Aug. 13 and run through Aug. 28.
