1. Break into the business of show. Tonight the Brooklyn Young Filmmakers Center is presenting a salon series on film careers. Sit in on a screening of a low- or no-budget short film, followed by a detailed analysis of its production history. Film professionals and emerging filmmakers will also share their careerpaths with budding visionaries. Plus, there's time to network. 143 Waverly Ave., 6:30 p.m., $5.
2. Get a hobby. The Brooklyn Lacrosse Club will kick off the Spring 2013 Season with three free indoor clinics in February at the P.S. 10 Gym in Brooklyn, beginning this Saturday. Boys and girls from pre-k through 8th grade are invited, and beginners are most definitely welcome. 511 7th Ave., 10 a.m., Free.
3. Kick back and relax. The Gypsy Bailsmen will perform this Sunday at Lola BKLYN. Folksy and fun, it might be the perfect way to spend a Sunday evening. 387 Myrtle Ave., 8 p.m., Free.
4. Head to the park. Prospect Park and all its offerings are open over the long weekend, and if the weather remains sunny, why not check out all there is to do and see. On Monday and Tuesday from 1-3 p.m., the Audubon Nature Center is hosting "Winter in the Wild," where staff will discuss the winter survival strategies of animals that live in the Park. Lefferts Historic House will also be open those days from 12-4 p.m., and you can always head to the Prospect Park Zoo, which will be open from 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
5. Move your car. Alternate side parking is in effect today. The next suspension will be this monday, Feb. 18 in observance of Presidents Day.
