5 Things: Natalia Zukerman Plays Union Hall Tonight!

A roundup of Brooklyn events.

1. Get crafty. Don’t miss Created in Brooklyn – Conversations– Design Crafts taking place at Brooklyn Public Library in Grand Army Plaza tonight at 6:30 p.m. Photographer Randy Duchaine, in association with Created in Brooklyn, chats with individuals featured in his exhibition to discuss their creativity and diversity, and how they help make Brooklyn extraordinary. For more info, visit: www.randyduchaine.com. Brooklyn Public Library – Grand Army Plaza, 6:30 p.m., free.

2. Listen to music. Head to The Way Station to hear Christine Sweeney, Kelli Scarr and Jim Greene play. Enjoy some bluesy, indie pop, folk and Americana music all night long! The Way Station, 683 Washington Ave, 8 p.m., free.

3. Get bubbly. If you love bubble tea, you’ll love the event Dessert Drinks: Bubble Tea and Friends tonight at Brooklyn Brainery. Whether you call it bubble tea, pearl milk tea, boba, or any of a million other names, there's one thing we can all agree on: putting weird gelatinous spheres in your drink is an oddly great idea. This event will start from bubble tea's "official" creation in the 80's, tracing its roots back through drinks throughout Asia. Come, watch and drink while several versions of bubble tea and related drinks will be prepared, from working with the tapioca balls to brewing the teas. Advance registration required! 4. Hang out in the hall. Stop by Union Hall to hear Natalia Zukerman’s unique musical talent tonight. Combining influences from folk to jazz, country to classical and blues, Zukerman will play her slide guitar and sing “seductive vocals.” If you still need convincing, The New Yorker said, “Natalia’s voice could send an orchid into bloom while her guitar playing can open a beer bottle with its teeth.” Union Hall, 702 Union Street, 8 p.m., $10.

5. Move your car. DOT’s alternate side parking rules are in effect today.
