5 Things: FAB Friday, Sing-a-long Fun, Help Carry a Stroller

1. Get spaced out. Don't miss "Outer Space" Print Show! at Brooklyn Frame Works Gallery, 142 5th Ave. Brooklyn Frame Works Gallery is proud to present our 3rd in a series of outer space-themed artwork: "Outer Space 3.0." The show will feature antique astronomy prints, vintage sci-fi movie posters and original U.S. & Soviet space program memorabilia, and more!

2. Have a FABulous Friday. Come out to Fulton Street for FAB Friday at the Putnam Triangle Plaza (Cross St. Grand Avenue) from 4-8 p.m. But before those festivities begin, participate in the The Uni Project from 2:30-7:30 p.m., a pop-up reading room with children's picture books for browsing and a variety of activities such as making origami and reading aloud by volunteers. From 4-6 p.m., enjoy free games and arts & crafts activities for Kids with NY Cares Volunteers Plus, as well as a sidewalk chalk art project with Children's Book Author Elisha Cooper-in partnership with Greenlight Bookstore.

3. Help a mama out. Birth Day Presence will be hosting the annual Help A Mama Up Day today. Either from first-hand experience or as a sympathetic onlooker, every commuter knows how tough it can be to cart a kiddie around on the subway. So today at 9 a.m., have breakfast with Birthday Presence and then give back to New York mamas for Mother's Day from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. by helping moms and dads carry their strollers up and down the busy NYC subway stairs. 4. Sing Punk Rock & Heavy Metal. You know you got the voice, so prove it at Live Punk Rock Heavy Metal Karaoke + What Not To Do To Your Roboto (Styx Tribute) at The Rock Shop on Fourth Avenue. They play the songs, and you sing, or scream, or howl, whatever. Their objective is to give YOU, whether you’re a professional or you have never sung in front of anyone in your life, the best possible rock and roll experience. All you have to do is get up onstage and do your best, and they  take care of the rest.Plus a set from What Not To Do To Your Roboto (Styx tribute band).

5. Move your car. Alternate side parking is in full effect today. The next suspension will be Wednesday, May 15 for Shavuot.
