The description of the attacker matches that of a man suspected of a string of sexual assault crimes that have plagued Park Slope, South Slope, Sunset Park, Bay Ridge and Greenwood Heights, since March of this year.

According to reports of the 72nd Precinct, this may be the work of the same serial rapist/assaulter who has been preying on women in their twenties and thirties since spring.

The DCPI says the incident is filed as a groping, is difficult to investigate since it was reported sixteen hours after the attack occurred, and as of now is "not part of a pattern."

People are asked to stay safe, exercise extra caution and remain vigilant, and to avoid walking alone at night.

The attack was also reported by Safe Slope. The community group is organizing a to keep our streets safe.
