Weekend Rails

Here's your weekly dose of weekend subway service changes.

The subway will be plagued with construction, shuttle buses and subway changes, making travel from point A to point B that much harder. Make sure you get the scoop on the planned service changes before you leave the house on Saturday morning:

  • The and G train will skip Smith-9th St all times until Spring 2012.
  • Coney Island-bound F trains and Church Ave G trains will skip 15th St-Prospect Park and Fort Hamilton Parkway all times until Spring 2012. For service to these stations, take the or G train to Church Ave and transfer to a Manhattan-bound or a Queens-bound G. For service from these stations, take the or the G train to 7th Ave and transfer to a Coney Island-bound or a Church Ave-bound G
  • Manhattan-bound A and trains run via the F from Jay St-MetroTech to West 4th Street and then local to 59th Street.
  • Coney Island-bound F trains run via the A train from West 4th Street to Jay Street-MetroTech.
  • The Q train does not stop between Prospect Park and 57th St-7th Ave. For service between Prospect Park and Atlantic Ave, take the free shuttle bus (Three locations: Flatbush at Park Place, Lincoln Road at Prospect Park Q train station and 4 Ave at Pacific Street) and then take the D, N or R train.
  • The N train will stop at Dekalb Ave.
  • Bay Ridge-bound R trains are rerouted over the Manhattan Bridge from Canal St to DeKalb Ave. No Bay Ridge-bound R train service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court St and Jay St-MetroTech.
