Weekend Rails

Here's your weekly dose of weekend subway service changes.

This will be a weekend full of construction, shuttle buses and subway changes. Before you leave the house on Saturday morning make sure you get the scoop on the local subways:

  • The Q train does not stop between Prospect Park and 57th Street-7th Ave. For service between Prospect Park and Atlantic Avenue, take the free shuttle bus (Three locations: Flatbush at Park Place, Lincoln Road at Prospect Park Q train station and 4 Avenue at Pacific Street) and then take the D, N or R train.
  • N train will stop at Dekalb Ave.
  • Manhattan-bound F trains run via the A train from Jay Street-MetroTech to West 4th Street. For service to York Street, East Broadway, Delancey Street, 2nd Avenue and Broadway-Lafayette Street, take the F train to West 4th Street and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F train. For service from York Street, East Broadway, Delancey Street and 2nd Avenue, take the F train to Jay Street-MetroTech and take a Manhattan-bound F train. For service from Broadway-Lafayette Street, take the D train to West 4th Street and transfer to the F train.
  • The and G train will skip Smith-9th Street all times until Spring 2012.
  • Coney Island-bound F trains and Church Avenue G trains will skip 15th Street-Prospect Park and Fort Hamilton Parkway all times until Spring 2012. For service to these stations, take the F or G train to Church Avenue and transfer to a Manhattan-bound F or a Queens-bound G. For service from these stations, take the F or the G train to 7th Avenue and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F or a Church Avenue-bound G.
