Prospect Park Zoo Rescues Sea Lions

The Prospect Park Zoo is now home to two sea lions rescued earlier this year on the California coast.

According to the zoo staff, two sea lion pups were rescued earlier this year near Point Hueneme on the Pacific Coast.

Fire Erupts in 7th Street Laundromat

Firefighters responded to a fire in a laundromat at the intersection of 4th Avenue and 7th Street in Park Slope Wednesday.

Meltkraft Opens

Valley Shepherd Creamery's highly anticipated grilled cheese shop, Meltkraft, opened this week and is serving up grilled cheeses and an extensive list of beers and coffees to go along with its homemade cheeses and breads. 

Patch Poll Gives de Blasio Debate Win

According to Patch's (highly unscientific) poll, Public Advocate Bill de Blasio was the winner in last night's final Democratic mayoral debate.

It really wasn't much of a contest, with more than 60 percent of voters siding with de Blasio as of 5 p.m.
