Chocolate Room Signs Lease at New Spot to Remain in Park Slope

With its proximity to the Barclay's Center, The Chocolate Room's rent at its current Park Slope location has skyrocketed out of the range of affordability. Owners Naomi Josepher and Jon Payson knew they had to move, but didn't want to leave Park Slope.

After a long process, the two are excited to announce that they have signed a lease on a new space and will be staying in Park Slope.

When its current lease at 86 5th Avenue expires on Jan. 31, The Chocolate Room will move to 51 5th Avenue, just one block away, once the build out is complete.

Empty: Warp and Weft Clears Up Shop

Warp and Weft of 203A Garfield Place has no clothes, exiting the storefront and leaving it naked in Park Slope, according to Park Slope Stoop.

On the other hand, the boutique's sister store in Carroll Gardens, Rivet, remains open. 

Celebrate National Cheeseburger Day: A Taste of 4 Unique Brooklyn Burgers

Some would argue it should be an official holiday, but nonetheless, Wednesday marked National Cheeseburger Day.

Throughout Brooklyn, the choice of cheeseburgers is endless. While many enjoy the classic cheeseburger, there’s a slew of unique and delicious burgers to choose from as well.

Ken Thompson Campaign Moves Out [Empty in Park Slope]

Ken Thompson's campaign was a success as he defeated longtime incumbent Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes in the Democratic primary, and with the victory his campaign has moved out of their headquarters at 317 Flatbush Avenue.

The location had been empty when Royal Video closed down this August. Thompson moved in, but now the HQ closed down and the building is back up for rent.
