Top Dog: Enter the King and Queen of Park Slope Photo Contest

Submit photos of your favorite pooch to Park Slope Patch for a chance to win $600 worth of pet-friendly prizes.

Think your pup has the best mug in Park Slope?

Submit a photo of your favorite dog and have a chance to win the title of “King” or “Queen ” of Park Slope along with a basket full of canine-friendly prizes.

Here's how it works:

Send in or upload your best photo of a favorite dog residing in Park Slope to be entered into the King and Queen of Park Slope Photo Contest. The contest is open to all residents over 18 years old...and that's 18 human years.

You can submit your photo into this post by simply clicking one of the "Upload Photos and Videos" buttons above (it’s quick and easy—just make sure you are a registered user first).

Or you can email the picture to Park Slope Patch editor Will Yakowicz at Will.Yakowicz@Patch.com.

Along with the image, please include your name as well as the dog's name. This one's important so our judges know who to name as finalists.

We will be collecting submissions from Sunday, Sept. 23 until Thursday, Sept. 27 at 5 p.m. Our friends at ProspectBArk will then pare down the entries to the top five male and female dogs.

Then it's up to our readers to vote in the comments section of the article—which will be posted on Sept. 30 and runs through 5 p.m. on Oct. 4—on the two pups who will earn neighborhood wagging rights.

The two dogs voted by you as King and Queen will each receive a prize package worth $600 in sweet treats that include:

A six-pack of Zoe's Premium Pet Food, organic human-grade ingredients cooked in small batches by local Slope dog owner ($30), a vet exam and microchip from Park Slope Veterinary ($120), a four-week training course by Walk This Way at The Brooklyn Dog Training Center ($180), a professional pet photography session with Jenna Leigh Teti ($150), a gift basket from NYC pet.com ($30) and a doggie daytrip with ProspectBArk Dog Walking and Pet Sitting ($90).

For the official contest rules and regulations, please see the attached PDF

The winning dogs will be announced Saturday, Oct. 6.

A quick note about the entries, folks! Please make sure you tell us your dog's name, as well as the crown they are up for - King or Queen? If we don't know, we cannot pick your dog to be a finalist - no matter how regal! Best of luck, everyone!

When do the judges pick the 5 potential kings and queens for us to vote on and when does the voting start? When is it over and decided? Why does the headline still say to submit photos when the submission date is long gone?
