What happened this week on Park Slope Patch.

It was another week of exciting happenings in the neighborhood. Here's our roundup of our biggest neighborhood headlines.

On Monday, our columnist Louise Crawford entertained readers with a little quz: ?

News also broke that the city is to promote mixed-use buildings on Fourth Avenue by establishing the avenue as a special enhanced commercial district, requiring new developments to include retail space on ground floors. Later in the week, though, the Fifth Avenue Business Improvement District voiced concerns that the move would negatively affect business on Fifth Avenue.

On Tuesday, we took a look at the that have hit Prospect Park (as well as 86 other locations around the city). The pianos will be located at Grand Army Plaza and the carousel through July 2.

We also took a look at the reality of for residents in the footprint of the Atlantic Yards project. So far, the only answer the city will supply is a big fat “maybe.”

Our resident beer lover checked out the Thursday Tap Takeovers at Bierkraft on Wednesday. The tastings happen every Thursday, with one brewery bringing in loads of specialty beer and “taking over” the taps at the beer spot.

On Wednesday, the PPW bike lane lawsuit also had its , though it lasted about 10 minutes.

Thursday we took a sneak peek at , a very cool, mobile theater performance about marathons that will hit the Slope early next month.

And late Thursday night, perhaps the biggest news of the week broke: the city k this year, though they will “cull” up to 800 geese elsewhere in the city. The city said that last year’s culling was so successful that there was no need to touch the park’s geese this time around.

Our foodie review Fifth Avenue’s , Colombia in Park Slope, on Friday. The verdict: delicious, though with some room for improvement.

And finally, late Friday night , we hit up Ginger’s Bar and Excelsior, where the neighborhood’s LGBT crowd was out celebrating.
