THE STOOP: Lawn Chairs, an Umbrella and a Telescope

Our weekly round up of Brooklyn stoop items.

This week we found some great stoop stuff for the Memorial Day weekend: things to sit and relax on, under and even a telescope to look at the spring stars.

The most comfortable thing we found was a great big wooden lawn chair, sitting along Eighth Avenue. It was in great condition and ready for the holiday weekend.

To go along with it, we found an umbrella for the sun.

The coolest thing we found this week was a telescope. It was sitting by the stoop, ready for the taking. In Park Slope, where we have astronomers, it’s a perfect thing for the neighborhood to find.

We also found good kitchen supplies. We found a nice frying pan and a waffle maker.

Just for good measure, we found a Kinks album, a soggy mattress and an old TV.

To kick it all off a pair of tires sat on Prospect Park West, in case yours got stolen or you ran over a pothole.
