Stressed Out? It's Probably Because You Live In NYC

New York City took the No. 2 spot in a recent research study on stressed-out cities.

NYC ranked No. 2 on a stressed-out city study, which probably isn't very shocking considering the rats, subways derailing, dense population and ridiculously high cost of living.

The study, issued by Movoto, a real-estate blog, took into account commute times, high cost of living, crime, hours worked, population density and percentage of income spent on rent to hammer out the level of stress for each city.

New York stayed firmly planted in its No. 2 spot, which a Forbes/Gallup poll also awarded it last year, with smoggy Los Angeles and cold Chicago taking No. 1 and No. 3, respectively.

In contrast to Movoto's research, Chicago ranks no. 7 and L.A. ranks No. 10.
