Street Closure July 5 to 6: 15th Street Between Fifth and Sixth Aves.

A small section of a popular route to the Gowanus Expressway, the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel and the Brooklyn-Queens expressways will be closed.

Although it is a small change, it’s better you know before you go.

Starting on July 5 at 9 a.m. through July 6 at 4 p.m., 15th Street will be closed to cars between Fifth and Sixth avenues. There will be crane work being done halfway down the block, which is approved by the Department of Transportation.

Although this will not affect a big part of Park Slope, many drivers come off Bartel-Pritchard Square to get onto the Gowanus Expressway, go down to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel or hop on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway.
