Sesame Street's Bob McGrath and Jeremy Plays Guitar at Littlefield This Sunday

Don't miss the Hip Tot Music Fest Sunday, Dec. 9 in Gowanus.

Come meet some “people from your neighborhood” at the Hip Tot Music Fest at Littlefield this weekend, including one of Sesame Street’s human characters, Bob McGrath, who is going on his 43rd season.

Bob, Jeremy Plays Guitar and The Rock-ucation Band and even Santa will hit the stage on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. at the Degraw Street venue.

During this month’s show, “the lid gets blown off the toy-box,” as the organizers describe, with live performances from The Deedle Deedle Dees, Bob, who is an original cast member and is beginning his 43rd season as “Bob” on Sesame Street and is an accomplished singer with seven children’s albums.

Jeremy Plays Guitar and his Rock-ucation Band, will make music that is also educational for children.

Kids will also meet Hip Tot's very own Santa. But, this Santa is nothing like one you'll meet in a department store. The fifth-generation New Yorker, Erica Goepel, is full of holiday cheer and will don a handmade costume based on the traditional St. Nicholas.

Other performances will include The Cool Beans and Jeté Dance Center; a book reading of by children's book author and illustrator Melanie Hope Greenberg; Glitter Tattoos with Glitter Tattoo New York, Face Painting with Lady Z and a cardboard castle built by Mini Jake and Makedo.

The Hip Tot Music Fest, a series of live performance and music concerts for families at state-of-the-art performance and art space Littlefield, is co-produced by Adam Meyer and Gabby Napolitano.

Come enjoy this month’s Hip Tot Music Fest that is sure to bring family and community merchants together through music, art and holiday spirit.
